Lecture Title: Can phosphorus compounds do more than fire protection of polymers?

Abstract:

Phosphorus compounds are commonly used in fire protection of polymeric materials and are con-sidered alternative to toxic halogenated flame-retardants. More recently increased need for sus-tainable materials have motivated researchers to develop molecules which not only offers func-tionality to polymers but enables their recycling. In this presentation, I will show you our journey of developing phosphorus-based flame-retardants to phosphorus based fire safe recyclable thermo-sets.
